In the newspaper company, the next day:
Promotion
Kathryn arrives the bosses office
Kathryn: “Good morning “
Boss: “Good morning Kathryn! I have some good news for you! “
Kathryn: “Really? May you tell me what the good news are? “
Boss: “I´m going to give you a promotion. You´re going to start at your new task tomorrow. “
Kathryn: “Sounds great, I´m very thankful. Can you please give me more information? “
Boss: “Yes of course! You´re going to do a partner work with a colleague and I´m going to give you more responsibility. I´m very proud of your previous work and I believe in you. You´re going to get more payment but your job is going to be a little harder but don´t worry. I´m sure that you´re able to make it. “
Kathryn: “Thank you. I´m going to do my best. What time do I start? “
Boss smiles
Boss: “You´re going to start at 9 am and you will meet your new partner tomorrow. Don´t be late because your new task is very important. Thank you, you can go now. “
Kathryn: “Yes I understand, good bye see you tomorrow! “
Kathryn leaves the office. Kathryn is little bit scared but still confident about her work.
Group 3
In her parents house, Katheryn is talking on the phone with Kacey, and a family dinner is about to start.
Katheryn (on the phone): Oh my god!! I still can’t belive that happened!
Kacey (tired, also on the phone): Yes. I know. You have been talking about this all week, calm down girl! The human boy helped you a week ago and you haven’t shut up about it yet
Katheryn’s brother walks up to Katheryn to tell her that dinner is ready
Katheryn (on the phone): Excuse me, “the human boy”??? He has a name!
Her brother overhears and looks surprised
Brother: Dinner is ready!
Katheryn and Kacey mimic their goodbyes, as the brother whispers on his parents ears about what he just heard, his parents look shocked upon hearing it. Everyone from the family goes to the table and starts eating, but the atmosphere is very tense.
Brother: So you were talking with your friend?
Kathryn (shocked and nervous): Oh,yeah, why you asking?
Mother: No reason, how´s Kacey doing?
Kathlyn (suspiciously): She´s fine.
